Smooth flows of goods are of fundamental importance to us as a trading company. The global supply chain organization of Gebr. Heinemann combines our logistics with the management of the entire product flow, which includes master data, demand forecasts and planning as well as the ordering process for suppliers and customers.
Our two German logistics centers in Hamburg-Allermöhe and Erlensee near Frankfurt am Main form the basis of our global flow of goods and are among the most modern in the international travel market. Even more gigantic than the dimensions of the technology (such as 40-metre high racks) is the actual logistics performance: the daily, perfectly orchestrated interaction of thousands of simultaneous processes with the aim of finding the optimal route for every order.
We also operate regional warehouses in Singapore, Sydney (Australia) and Oslo (Norway) as well as local warehouses in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) and Miami (US), which allow us to be close to our customers and save on transportation routes - and therefore carbon dioxide emissions - for many products. Further regional distribution centers, especially in our growth regions, are already being planned.
We control the logistics processes at Gebr. Heinemann from Hamburg-Allermöhe (Germany). Thanks to state-of-the-art IT, warehousing and handling technology, our logistics center is one of the most modern of its kind in the world. In a gigantic interplay of man, computer and machine, up to 800,000 picked sales units are handled daily and shipped to our wholesale customers all over the world.
